For over 36 years the Business Community and residents, through the 501(c)3 non-profit Central City Police Boosters, have worked with the LAPD to make Downtown Los Angeles a safer place to live and work.
We strive to have a positive impact on the lives of the youth in the Los Angeles area by supporting various programs, reducing crime by assisting in the acquisition of specialized crime prevention equipment, and creating a better community by participating in inner city benefit activities.
Future for our Youth
By working with the LAPD, the Boosters plan activities for local youth. Through these activities, needy and troubled children learn the importance of serving community as well as the value of police officers. The result? The development of local youth into community leaders rather than community problems.
Safety for Our Community
The Boosters meet regularly with the Central Area Commanding Officer and staff. They plan activities that enhance public safety and assist in the acquisition of specialized crime prevention equipment.
